Looking for a Tiimo alternative? iFocusFlow for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch

Tiimo is a good app, and a lot of people should keep using it. If you're here because it doesn't quite fit the way your day starts, this page compares it with iFocusFlow, the ADHD planner app I make.

I've tried to keep it fair. Every Tiimo fact below comes from Tiimo's own website or its App Store listing, with links at the bottom and the date I checked. Where Tiimo is the better choice, I say so.

The short answer

Stay with Tiimo if you rely on its AI co-planner for your whole day, family profiles, or an app that also runs on Android and in a web browser.

Try iFocusFlow if you don't want an account — I don't know who you are or what you use the app for — and everything you plan on is an Apple device.

What Tiimo does well

Tiimo describes itself as a visual daily planner designed to support neurodivergent brains. Its listing says it was co-designed with ADHD and autism experts, and it was named iPhone App of the Year at the 2025 App Store Awards. Here is what it offers, in its own words where possible:

  • A visual schedule. A colour-coded daily overview with drag-and-drop tasks, plus colours, icons and layouts you can customise.
  • An AI co-planner. You type or speak what's on your mind and it breaks things down, estimates how long each step might take, and builds a plan. The free version includes limited AI chats; Tiimo lists AI task breakdown among its Pro tools.
  • A to-do list and focus timer. A to-do list you can brain-dump into, with AI priority grouping, and a countdown timer for staying on a task.
  • Calendar import. Tiimo's FAQ says you can import Google, iCloud, Outlook and other calendars, and the listing mentions syncing with Apple Calendar and Reminders.
  • Family profiles. Up to 5 profiles can share one account.
  • Lots of platforms. iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Apple Vision, Android and a web planner. The web planner needs an active Pro trial or subscription.
  • Extras around the planner. Mood check-ins, streaks, courses and a community hub.

If those are the parts of Tiimo you use every day, you may not need an alternative at all.

Where iFocusFlow is different

Both apps help you get thoughts out of your head and into a plan, and both have a focus timer. The differences are in where you start, what you need to sign up for, and which devices you can use.

No account, private by design

You don't create an account, so I don't know who you are or what you use iFocusFlow for. The app doesn't collect your plans, notes or usage. If you buy Pro, Apple handles the purchase, and what I receive is de-identified: no name, Apple ID or email. Your plan stays on your device, with optional iCloud sync across your iPhone, iPad and Mac. The only sign-in is Google's, and only if you choose to import from Google. The details are in the privacy policy. For comparison, Tiimo's FAQ says that to use it across devices you log in with the same email on each one.

Start how you want: brain dump, or add a task or habit

Your choice: brain dump, or add a one-time task (micro-steps optional) or a habit (with micro-steps) directly, AI-guided or manual. Break it into 2–10 minute steps if you want. If you'd rather capture first, put it in Brain Dump: type it, record a voice note, take a photo, or attach a file. Location, weather and hashtags are optional. The note keeps all of that, so it still makes sense when you come back to it. When you're ready, turn the notes that matter into a task or a habit, and leave the rest where it is. Brain Dump also includes mindfulness and mood check-ins, and works as a private journal in the same place you plan.

Big tasks become 2–10 minute steps

Any task or habit can be split into micro-steps of 2 to 10 minutes, so the first move is small enough to start. If you'd rather not do the splitting yourself, speak or type the task in on-device AI Mode: it plans that one task into 2–10 minute steps you review, not the whole day. AI features need a supported device and configuration. The micro-task planner page shows how this works.

Habits and focus sessions in the same place

Habits can repeat daily, on weekdays, on custom days, or happen once, and you can reschedule one when the day changes. Focus sessions run a visible countdown, and Live Activities keep it on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island so you can see the time left without opening the app. Focus sessions come with widgets on iPhone and Mac, filterable by tag, and can switch on your device's Focus to quiet distracting notifications while you work. You can tag tasks and habits (for example Work or Personal), give each tag a colour, and filter a widget so it shows only that tag.

Your calendars come in, untouched

Connect Apple Calendar & Reminders and Google Calendar & Tasks in Settings → Capture & Imports. You review each item before it's added, and you can give it a first step as it comes in. iFocusFlow never edits the original Calendar event or Reminder. Connected imports need Pro, and Google needs you to sign in.

Apple devices only, including a native Mac app

iFocusFlow runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS 18.6 or later), Mac (macOS 26 or later) and Apple Watch. On the Mac you get list, board, calendar and timeline views. There is no Android app and no web version. If you need either, Tiimo covers both.

A one-off price if you want it

iFocusFlow is free to download, with Pro as an in-app purchase: monthly, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Tiimo has a free version and a Pro subscription, paid monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. Exact prices are in the table below.

Which should you pick?

Pick Tiimo if…

  • You want an AI co-planner for your whole day.
  • You share planning with family members and want separate profiles.
  • You use an Android phone, or want to plan in a web browser.
  • You want courses and a community hub alongside your planner.

Pick iFocusFlow if…

  • Privacy matters to you: no account, no profile, and de-identified purchase records only if you buy Pro.
  • Your day starts as a jumble of thoughts, voice notes and screenshots — dump them first, or add a task or habit directly.
  • You want mood check-ins and a private journal in the same place you plan.
  • Big tasks stall you, and a 2–10 minute first step is what gets you moving.
  • You want AI help on one task, processed on your device.
  • You want habits, focus sessions and your Apple or Google calendar beside your tasks in one app.
  • You want to see Work and Personal at a glance with colour-coded tags, and widgets that show just one tag.
  • You plan on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and you'd prefer a one-time Lifetime option to a subscription.

It isn't all-or-nothing. iFocusFlow is free to download, so you can try it next to Tiimo for a week and keep whichever one you open without thinking about it.

Moving over from Tiimo

There's no direct Tiimo import. Here is the quickest way to get going:

  1. Bring in what's already in your calendars. If your events and to-dos live in Apple Calendar, Reminders, Google Calendar or Google Tasks, connect them in Settings → Capture & Imports (Pro) and review what comes in.
  2. Dump the rest, or add a task or habit directly. Say or type what's on your mind, or create one task or habit (AI-guided or manual) and add 2–10 minute steps if you want.
  3. Pick one thing and shrink it. Turn it into a task, split it into a 2–10 minute first step, and start a short focus session.
  4. Add habits last. Rebuild routines one at a time with the habit tracker, rather than all at once.

FAQ

Is iFocusFlow free?

Yes, with limits: up to 5 AI Mode activations, 3 brain dumps and 3 habits or tasks in total, with no analytics or Google import. Beyond that you need Pro, which is US$9.99/month or US$99.99 lifetime (A$14.99/month or A$149.99 lifetime).

Does iFocusFlow work on Android or in a browser?

No. iFocusFlow is only for Apple devices: iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Tiimo has an Android app and a web planner (the web planner is part of Tiimo Pro), so it is the better fit if you need those.

Do I need an account to use iFocusFlow?

No. You can start planning without creating an account. Optional iCloud sync keeps your plan on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. The only sign-in is Google's, and only if you choose to import Google Calendar or Google Tasks.

Does Tiimo have a Mac app?

Yes. Tiimo's App Store listing includes Mac, and requires macOS 15.0 or later and a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later (checked on 9 October 2026). iFocusFlow's Mac app requires macOS 26.0 or later.

Can I move my Tiimo plans into iFocusFlow?

There is no direct Tiimo import. If your events and to-dos live in Apple Calendar, Reminders, Google Calendar or Google Tasks, you can connect those in iFocusFlow (Pro) and review each item before adding it. For anything else, a single brain dump is usually the quickest way to start.

Is iFocusFlow a treatment for ADHD?

No. iFocusFlow is a planning and productivity tool. It does not provide medical treatment or advice.
